What is grease?
There are three components that form lubricating grease:
Base oil - liquid lubricant
Thickener - allows it to remain in contact with moving metal surfaces without leaking out due to gravity, centrifugal force, or compression from operating pressures and loads.
Additives - provide specific performance properties
